Elementary Admission

Wildwood School’s K-5 elementary program is designed to honor and challenge each child’s individual development. Our unique three-year multi-age primaries blend kindergarten through second-grade students in classes of 24 with a head and associate teacher. There are 48 kindergarten openings each year (eight in each of six multi-age “Pods.”) We process about 180 applications per year for kindergarten openings. Each year there are applications for about 20 siblings, who receive priority consideration.

In grades one through five, openings occur only by attrition, and we usually have one to three openings per grade level per year in those grades. The exception to this is third grade, at which point we expand to add approximately six spaces. We process applications for first through fifth grades year-round, but applications received after December 8 may be held for processing during the next year. Please fill out our online inquiry form or call our elementary admission office at (310) 397-3134 to request an application packet or for more information about specific grade-level openings.
